Version 2: Flash Component
This version of Neverbeat only took 1 1/2 weeks to complete to a point
of release, for the most part. This was a hurried project due to months
of work on a previous version that was ultimately abandoned due to
issues of complexity versus deadlines. It was a project that I would
like to release in a formal finished sense, and not as a experimental
prototype.
In this new Flash Version, I concentrated mostly on accessibility
and ease of use. Every component of the site downloads separately,
to minimize download time, and to increase accessibility for people
with slow conections. The 'bug' appears within the initial download,
to distract you from any download time. |

Version 1.5: Flash Component
After realizing that Neverbeat.com should just be a portfolio site
for myself, to keep the scope of the project more attainable and simpler,
I started building a new Flash version, with design enhancements,
more personal content and a more intelligent structure.
Due to drawbacks from using Flash only, I decided to build a parallel
HTML version, for those who don't have the proprietary Flash plugin,
or for those who prefer HTML. |

Playground (Now Offline)
After months of experimentation with many types of multimedia, I decided
that I had a lot of spare parts, so to speak. I wanted to show my
loose ends, rather than just my finished work. I had a lot of Flash
components, Photoshop experiments and audio experiments that I thought
were too good to hide. Due to an exhausting amount of work, Playground
was discontinued. |

Version 2: HTML Component (Now Offline)
This HTML version of Neverbeat was never really completed. It was
up and running, but lacked a focus on Audio. This site was entirely
hand coded, without Dreamweaver, and had a great deal of SSI in its
architecture, which has its advantages while coding by hand. I built
it as a counterpart to the Flash version of Neverbeat. |

Version 1: Flash Only (Now Offline)
I started Neverbeat.com two years ago, as a Flash-only site. The site
was originally intended to be an online multimedia gallery for people
who wanted to “hang” their art online. But as the site
developed, I realized what a complex project this would be. The original
release of Neverbeat portrayed the intent to recruit other artists‘
work. |
